OUR AI CHARTER
Voices of the Americas Heritage Institute is human-powered and AI-assisted. In a field afraid of being copied and replaced by AI, we use AI only to find, connect, document and give back. These five rules apply to everything we do.
- AI never generates, clones or imitates a traditional voice or song.
- AI does the work around the music: research, matching, scheduling, writing, translating and archiving.
- Every recording we publish has the singer’s or community’s consent, credit and a link back to them.
- The people who carry a tradition decide what is shared and how. The AI proposes and never decides.
- Everything the AI produces is dated, linked to its source and marked as prepared with AI.
WHO IS RESPONSIBLE
The founder directs and supervises the institute and approves anything that goes public for the first time. To report a problem with something we published, or to ask us to remove a recording, write to us through the Get Involved page.
