THE HERITAGE GAZETTE
A weekly read of what moved in the traditional singing of the Americas: festivals, archive releases, research, awards, losses and revivals, each item dated and linked to its source.
Every week one item follows music crossing borders: exchanges, joint performances, policy and research. The Gazette reads its sources in English, Spanish, Portuguese and French, and publishes in English and Spanish.
TRADITIONAL MUSIC LAB
A ready-made module that professors adopt inside a course they already teach. In four to six weeks, students map one living singing tradition in their own city, and every map is open and credited to the students, the professor and the university.

MUSIC DIPLOMACY WEEK
Nothing travels farther than a song. Every semester, classes, choirs and community groups across the Americas are paired. Each group learns the other’s traditional song and, during the Week, sings it back online to the people it came from, while the person who carries the song answers back.
BRING A SONG HOME
Miami’s families carry songs from every country of the Americas. Together with a Miami community choir, we invite members and their families to record an elder singing a song from home, with consent and credit, and every season the choir brings some of them to the stage.
